HOW TO ACHIEVE DEEP ETCH SANDCARVING USING THE NEWLY UPDATED COMPRESSOR ADAPTER:

  1. ATTACH THE AERO ETCH CHAMBER AND STYLUS ASSEMBLY TO THE ADAPTER

  2. FILL THE CHAMBER WITH ABRASIVE AND SECURE ANY OPENINGS.

  3. MAKE SURE YOUR ADAPTER SHUT-OFF VALVE (RED HANDLE) IS IN THE OFF POSITION.

  4. YOUR STYLUS TOGGLE SHOULD ALSO BE CLOSED

  5. CONNECT YOUR ADAPTER TO YOUR AIR COMPRESSOR

  6. OPEN AND ADJUST THE PRESSURE ON YOU AIR COMPRESSOR OUTFLOW VALVE UP TO THE 70 PSI RANGE (CHECK THE GAUGE) - KEEP IT WELL BELOW THE 75 PSI LEVEL OR THE SAFETY RELEASE VALVE WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TRIGGERED TO STOP THE FLOW.

  7. CONTROL THE FLOW  - TURN ON SLOWLY  - TURN THE MANUAL SHUT-OFF VALVE SLOWLY TO THE ON POSITION TO ALLOW THE COMPRESSED AIR TO FLOW FROM THE AIR COMPRESSOR THROUGH THE ADAPTER INTO THE CHAMBER  -

IF YOU TURN THE RED HANDLE ON TOO FAST THE SUDDEN BURST OF PRESSURE MAY CREATE CLOGGING OF ABRASIVE EITHER IN THE INTERNAL MECHANISM OR AT THE NOZZLE END OF THE STYLUS.

  1. ACTIVATE THE SPRAY BY OPENING THE TOGGLE ON THE STYLUS. THE COMPRESSED AIR WILL MIX WITH ABRASIVE IN THE CHAMBER AND CREATE AN INSTANT PRESSURIZED STREAM OF ABRASIVE FLOW OUT THROUGH THE HOSE AND  STYLUS.

  2. YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CARVE EFFECTIVELY INTO GLASS IN THE 65-75PSI RANGE IN A MATTER OF SECONDS.

Wonderful results on glass trophies

Wonderful results! The etching on my glass trophies is nice and sharp. It’s much easier to get a crisp look on the glass than any other method! Couldn't be happier with the outcome. - Suffolk, VA
